This somehow reminds me of my school going days. Each day had a set of eight periods where different subjects were taught. Each of us had a favourite subject and a few subjects which we didn't like. Whether we liked it or not, we had to attend each period and pass the tests too. In fact, if we were found to be weak in any subject, we would be subjected to more intense coaching in that subject.
In life, God is our teacher and this world of experiences is our school. In our evolution, it is necessary for us to go through these experiences for us to become better and stronger. The ultimate objective of each soul is to attain God and for us to be ready for that, we must become perfect.
We have to go through all kinds of experiences - positive and negative. It is not as if some will be given special treatment or will "manage" to scrape through without having sad / bad experiences. Yet, the timing of each persons experiences will be different. So, it appears to us that some of us are being unfairly treated by the Lord. People who are enjoying life now would either have already faced the experience in the past or might do so in the future.
Those of us who have learnt the lesson and modified our character accordingly will get other experiences. Those who are slow to learn will get higher and repeated doses of the same experience till the learning is complete. For most of us, it will take multiple lifetimes to fully imbibe what we are being taught.
Welcome each experience and learn new lessons...

The good or bad that we experience in this life is the outcome of our actions in the previous and current births.We should shape our lives based on this experience and accumulate punya and endeavour to realise the ultimate goal of freedom from cycle of briths and deaths. A good post
The fruit of happiness is felt sweet only if we know the taste of a bitter fruit of sadness. very well said. And i think maultiple life times are also not sufficient to understand what life has got in store for us. Better "stop trying to understand life and start living it to the fullest", i believe it.
And what u said abt the school subjects was very true and funny as well..heeheh..we were forced to concentrate more on the subject which we didnt like..:)

Dear Sir,
During my school days at Mount Carmel and subsequently at St Xaviers I used to speak out this prayer every morning in school. This prayer was mandatory
Our father, Who is in heaven
Holy is your name
Your Kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
and forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil - Amen
Few of these lines have left an lasting impression in my mind.
Many times when I had to face tough situations, I always used to question the formless lord - If I am asked to forgive those who sin against us and we do it too.. then when I keep repeatedly saying this to lord - forgive us our sins- Why is he not forgiving and puting us to test each time?
I think here is the answer -
